Fishing (2020)

I can't wait to again. I heard there are some west of me, but a boat just isn't in the cards for me with all the other crap I have.
Only early spring or when I catch them through Ice. Otherwise they can taste like swamp.
I nabbed a northern in Ontario north of MN eons ago in August and it was delicious. So were the ones I got in MI which admittedly weren't all that numerous.
We eat Pike when my Wife feels like the extra deboning. They are excellent eating early on in the year. We tried Burbot last year, not bad but the best are early season Channel Cats. Really nice, firm white meat.
Today. kept this one, live well works great. Also caught 2 Pike the same size and had a bigger one hooked.
Im heading out for some Eyes on Saturday. Ive already got the boat loaded and bait in the freezer. Ill post up some pics after I get back.
Finally got my boat out yesterday, after 2 years idle. Didn’t get out until the afternoon. Boat ran great. Managed a few short fluke and one keeper. 
Oh to further the story of the monster Catfish. A Native who fishes there often caught a 36 pound Catfish, probably what my Wife hooked down there.
