Shot a couple of the engine and interior. Darin Kicked *ss over the weekend in Dexter. Won the 8.0 bracket! First jetboat in the history of the club beat a Blown Flatty Vee drive in that class! Awesome driving and we finally have the boat tuned to live. Ran an 8.005 to Roseway's 8.007! Close racing!

Rochester FI is like a fine piece of jewelry. Too bad about those $15 valve covers flanking it. Everything else under the hood looks top tier.

Congrats on the wins. Any action shots on the water?

It's cool seeing the vintage Rochester FI on there. I also noticed the cheapo valve covers. A nice set of '70's Corvette LT1 covers would be killer on there. Early Corvette script covers would be nicer, but there's no vent or filler holes.

All in all, it's a beautiful car. Nicely done. Just as nice underneath.

Congrats on your win, too Matt.

You guys are spot on! That was the first thing I jumped the guy on too! They also have doubled up gaskets and do leak!! Booo!! The wiring needs detailed, as you can see with the blaster coil on the cowl, bare, not covered and not shrink wrap terminals. I get on these guys for detail, but where do you stop, when it's not your car? We passed our initiak wiring inspection today, so we can rock the restroom, finally and move forward! More pics to follow, and hopefully back onto the wagon for a finish!!

Customer work is piling up as we attempt to finish the shop and make it presentable. We were out on a Vette drive over the weekend and ran into a guy driving a new Grand Sport. The conversation flowed and Monday A.M. I ran up and grabbed his Factory Five Cobra. A few problems to fix. Nice car, windsor powered with a Tremec.

Had an issue with one of the 540's in this Chris Craft. Pulled it and found a broken drive adapter. Whew! Cheap fix! Could have been much worse

Well, off to the shop to see what carnage awaits today!

What's the skinny on the rusty Z? Twist latch fuel door should make it a series 1.

Good eye! Bought that last summer. It's a "Special" project. That build will be fun! I wish there were more hours in the day! Gotta pull the speedo out of that 59 Vette tomorrow, the Odometer stopped. Gawd! went to replace the front seal on that 55 T-bird today. Frickin FORD!!! The seal presses in from the back of the timing/ front cover! Had to pull the front of the motor off to swap the seal, PLUS the seal has been there for 25 years and cut the shaft by 03"! The seal rides in around 1.25", try finding a sleeve THAT deep! They are available from some T-bird shop in Cali. Well, off I go...

Your customer projects look fun! I'd ask if you were hiring but the commute would get really old really fast.
Tee-Bird Products in Pa has a listing for it too. I got some drums (one year only and Tbird specific) from them when I was working on the '57 a few months ago. They seem to have a pretty large inventory if you run across any other parts you can't find elsewhere.
Check the tag on that 240Z. Any cars with a 4 digit VIN is considered fairly rare/valuable. It makes hacking them up that much more rewarding  . I used to own #9928 built in 10/'70. Couldn't bring myself to modify it beyond struts, springs and wheels. One of the few cars I regret selling. Last I knew it was in Montesano.

I'll check it. It has a fresh (Allegedly) Motor in it. I'll fire it and see how it sounds. Then the motor will be up for grabs. I'll post some pics. The nice thing about these cars and our customers is that they know we can't rush on them. They don't always like the bill, but we don't damage the cars and we have zero interest in driving them. We have a chassis dyno for the tunes and drivability issues, so the cars get fixed, tested and returned with no chance of a rock chip or a sideways launch through a fence! Well, I gotta order a converter for the Wagon and get PSE some info along with the American Welding Society for my cert renewals.
