Fuel pump or carb

I got a chance to replace the fuel pump this afternoon. Does anyone have any pictures of the gas vent line ran to a filter ?

Have you had a chance to test it since replacing the fuel pump and fuel filter?

Yes I've had a chance to drive it about 15 miles back and fourth a few times I'm thinking whatever it was it's gone. You guys mentioned vapor lock that could be what's going on. Since changing fuel pump and fuel filter I unplugged gas vent line put some gas in runs pretty good. Right now I have the vent line hanging behind front bumper hopefully nothing blows..

220 is not way too hot, some GM cars only turn the fan on at 220. I run my engine at 200 to 210

Other have said it, but sounds exactly like Vapor Lock/fuel boiling at the engine. 220 is WAY too hot for any non race engine. 200 max is where engines like to be. 180-190 is optimal. Check your fan clutch, fan, cooling system and thermostat. If that doesn't solve it, at least you wont be on the bring of baking your engine to death.
Its not running at 220 the hand sits about an half inch before 220

I crawled under the car seen both fuel lines what do u guys use to cut line or should I just add breather to the line I have now

If it were me I would probably cut the vent line near the tank and install the filter back there, higher than the tank. I would use a tubing cutter to cut the line.

He doesn't even have to cut the hardline near the tank. There is a flexible portion of rubber hose that joins the hardlines from the tank pick up to the hardline that runs to the front of the car.
He can simply cut the hose between the two, remove it, and install the vent filter on the end of the tank pickup hardline.
No tubing cutters needed. It also keeps the filter tight against the trunk floor, higher than the tank.

That's what I've done here.

Ok I did see where i could remove the rubber line and just replace it with a breather filter. When I find some money to throw into one of those little filters ill get one. I seen some for around 11 bucks online. Do you know if this can be picked up locally for cheap?

That I can't answer for you. Locally for you is different than locally for me.
I found that one in stock and on the shelf at my local speed shop.
You're going to have to see what's available where you're at, but I would think most of the chain parts stores should either have them, or be able to get them for you.
Hope this has helped.
