1st off all my life I've despised almost anything with the 4 letter word that begins with F. GM hasn't made they're GREAT 12 bolt since what the early 70s .I'd LOVE to have a narrowed 12 bolt for the money I'll put into my 9 .It just ain't gonna happen any more . 3+ year's of 8.5s being produced finding one at a reasonable price is next to impossible any more. With the research I've been doing the dirty 4 letter word company used the 9 from 1957-1986 .So they're not only plentiful,They have one hell of an aftermarket. So I decided put pride and prejudices aside and pay less of my HARD EARNED $$$$ into what is most practicle.

The 9" is kind of the SBC of the rearend world in respect to aftermarket support.
You can always buy a 9" that doesn't use a reclaimed housing if you're really that stuck on the Ford thing

That's not what I meant. I hate Toyota. I used to hate Ford but GM and Ford are all we have left.
Gotcha, to think all these countries we fought wars against came into our home country and took over the car market. That REALLY sucks. Next thing ya know ISIS will start making cars and Americans will buy them up because someone online says they're good and reliable.
Not a lover of import nameplates, but we did it to ourselves. The big three didn't give a sh*t about customer concerns, and they paid the price, which of course penalized all of us in the long run.
