I started with the pre welded comp engineering back half frame
Here's the victim
Dint mind my mess. I cleaned up some now lol
I decided not to mount the rear frame to the old 1/8" frame. Instead I fabbed some 3/16 plate. This gave me an even angle to weld to and gave me piece of mind Then I boxed in the frame with more 3/16" plate Then I cut the frame and boxed the ends

Removed the old guide material also opened the ports to big block size. gotta polish the chambers(not fully done)
Don't forget that heat crossover I will be running a full rail girdle and spraying with 400+ nitrous!!!

I am thinking when you are done with the rolling chassis we can throw my 565 Big Block in there and see what that does getting some actual traction.😉

I've got an 86 that I will be getting to with lots of fiberglass body panels and full tube chassis. I want to big block that car. Thinking a turbo 632. Or a turbo olds 350 diesel block stroked over 450 cubes. I chose smallblock for this car for a few reasons. The stronger platform vs the olds 455 at higher RPM being the main reason. Problems over 700hp is also in there. And I'm all bout keeping true to the manufacturer. Olds for an olds! But money is always a factor so race engine, Chevy is the smarter choice. I'm working with the machine shop closely to try and get a couple over 1000hp pulls on the dyno at the crank with the nitrous. We'll see how she holds up!!!
