At least not in NYC and the surrounding areas...i would assume the same goes for a city like Detroit.

In NJ, its a $200 to $400 fine, 30 days in jail, and 2 points against your license.Though most of the time its plea deal down to failure to report an accident.

Ok... I'll start calling all rwd 2 door cars g body because I don't know what a g body really is. Then when other people who don't know start doing it, all g body owners have to accept that mustangs and firebirds are g body as well because the "drfinitions change"? Yup. Even the mag "DONK" has featured non 71-76 impalas and caprices on its cover. And last time i checked those cars are considered b-bodies. Not donks.

It is only fleeing if they are chasing you. There was no chase.

Also Detroit being a "large" city may have it's own statute. that supersedes the state penal or vehicle traffic law.

Example in NYC's 5 boroughs a suspended license is an arrestable offense.

But the rest of the state it is a summonsable offense.
