I like the show but it is cheezy at times. Richard throws a lot of $$ around. He was up here in the town I live in buying cars. One was that junker jag that I don't know why he bought, they trashed it more getting it off the hauler and then still sold it for profit If I remember right? That had to be a set up deal!!

So I finally seen the 2nd half of this build.
The one thing they fabricate on the entire car and they don't show it!!
The heater A/C Box!! $#%@%$@^%#!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they just put in vintage air.

I like GMG for what it is. I don't think I've ever watched one in which Richard didn't make me laugh at least once or twice (I'm always wondering where my beer assistant is too). Personality wise, they seem like they could be a fun bunch. I always prefer shows with less prescribed drama and more technical substance.
I kinda like the brit guys on Wheeler Dealers-they actually seem genuinely excited about what they do- I never watch Misfits, they drive me up the wall

I've watched the Gas Monkey's off & on since the beginning. It's an entertaining show for sure, my favorite episode is the "Smokey & The Bandit episode" Tom as Buford T. Justice is the BEST! They've worked on some cool builds but the show is more about the entertainment factor for me than just the builds..

I really enjoy the Wheeler Dealer guys. Mike and Ed have a real passion for saving all of the cars that they work on. I'm thinking that Ed China could fix anything! Those guys are genuine and the 'Real Deal' for sure. I've seen every episode and always look forward to seeing the next.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought it was about an old member here who I think had the name gasmonkey and had an el camino. He hasn't been around for a long time and I thought he may have reappeared...🙁
that's funny - I was also thinking the same. I've lurked around here on this forum for years, mostly reading threads but have recollection of lots of avatars that I dost see post anymore.
