I'll run this poll through SATURDAY sometime. That's a bit shorter than usual but I'm trying to squeeze the schedule back to where we used to be. The winner will get some GBF decals. Use the poll functionality to vote.

The theme this month is "daily drivers / haulers" that are in decent shape.

The original entries thread is here, to view all the pictures and entries: https://gbodyforum.com/threads/gbotm-mar-16-entries-daily-drivers-haulers.58575/

The contenders:

this is my favorite, best looking nose on a G body and it has a stick in it. He uses it all year round to haul boats and beer and the service call vehicle for his kids cars.

Thank's Steve, and of course Jack. Here is a better pic of it earning it's keep. Worst paint job winner!

Mark,
I was hoping you'd post a pic of your car pulling your boat trailer. I kinda like the wheels that are on it in that pic, rather than the snowflakes. Just my opinion.

Me too Jack. Unfortunately those 225-75-15's are from my old TA and the sidewalls rotted so I broke them down and tossed the skins. The Rally 2 rims are fine and painted nice so I stored them. I have fresh 205-75-15's on the snowflakes which are from another Firebird. They clear the wheel wells better, but the snowflakes require spacers so the lower control arm lips don't scrape the aluminum rims. I was going to swap them onto the Rally2's but I hate to disturb tires that don't leak. Sadly, I have ANOTHER set of 225-75-15's on another set of snowflakes on another TA which I also hate to disturb. I guess I'm waiting for a deal on some fresh tires for the Rally 2's. Boy do I have too much crap, eh?

Mark,
225/75 x 15 are rather tall tires. I could see where they might scrape. I once had 225/70 x 15's and before I did the springs, they'd rub up front. Rally II's...I forgot what they were called.
I'd keep them as the fair weather wheels. They do look sharp on the car..gives it a vintage look.

Remember Jack, these cars came with 14's stock. I used to use G78-14's on my Firebirds and they filled up the wheel wells pretty good too. Boy am I dating myself,eh? Anyway, it's tough to get 15's to fit without rubbing somewhere. The 225-75's fit because I usually jack my suspension up a lot to avoid the dreaded NYC pot holes. In my avatar pic I have Buick LeSabre springs in the back with coil-over shocks. I could fit 40 cases of Pennsylvania beer in the back without the rear squatting. Since then I've lowered it, thus the 205-75's.
