Gear ratio question ???

My ZL1 is LS based with 3.73 standard. A n easy cruise on the highway in 6th. LS engines do just fine with 3.73 and OD. My opinion still is valid

Sure but that's with two overdrive ratios. Not exactly apples to apples.

My Regal has a mild 355 SBC with a 200R4 and the factory 2.56 rear currently back there but since I enjoy highway driving and good gas mileage in this car when I ordered parts for my QP 9" I went with a 3.25 gearset that I will be installing in the spring, I feel this will give me some added grunt off the line but still have a nice top end speed as this car is just a "cruiser" in comparison to my Monte.
