What about this unit? Is it a bolt in "kit"? https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Spee...MIgNnvuqqr5QIVCr7ACh1bBQFZEAQYBCABEgLELfD_BwE
Because my 6.0 LS swap is going to have a 20% increase in HP and torque I guess I'm being proactive /paranoid in upgrading my rear end down the road. A friend of mine with an 84 Regal -w-LQ4 -408 just exploded his rear end 2 days ago. Found this interesting. https://maliburacing.com/tech_rearend_swaps.htmlWhat about this unit? You will still have to put a center section together:What about this unit? Is it a bolt in "kit"? https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Spee...MIgNnvuqqr5QIVCr7ACh1bBQFZEAQYBCABEgLELfD_BwE
And you would still have full floating axles and no shock mounts. You will still have to put a center section together:
Ring and pinion set
Carrier or spool for 31 spline or larger axles
Bearing set
Center section housing in nodular iron or aluminum
Front bearing support
Yoke
You will have a grand into a center section that will take some power. By the time it's all said and done you will have $2 grand into the set up you linked to and the center section. Yes, the 9" axle housings are cheap but the cost savings and is typically eaten up by the center section which is always the most expensive part of a Ford 9"
Now that you mention it, the housing doesn't have coil spring perches eitherAnd you would still have full floating axles and no shock mounts.
