I'm all about it, but the thought of the vinyl covered rear section makes me sick. It just screams "I'm going to cause severe rust."

Part of the reason for that was the big three all did poorer body work on vinyl top cars. Hard tops used body lead to fill the roof seams, while for vinyl top cars, the factories used filler putty on the roof seams as the vinyl would hide the sloppier body work. The putty filler usually dries out, cracks, and lets in and traps moisture against the roof weld seams. Welds tend to rust faster than the base metal.

where did you see the two cars with the dent. I saw the car with the dent in the back when Aronsson drove his car away but I didn't see another car with a dent.

How long does it take to charge?

That'd be fine for going to and from work for a couple of days before having to recharge it overnight maybe. Definitely not a road trip car though, regardless of how long it takes to charge.
