I know... I know.. last time I tried a burnout it smelled like clutch for days!! I suck at doing epic burnouts in a manual trans vs auto.... :|

I did manage to pick it up for 200 bucks so it wasn't a total waste.

I am little bit jealous , here in Finland those engines cost about 2000$ what ever condition they are... :blam: with 200$ I could get some used 350 cranksaft...

DAMN!! that stinks! I did manage to snag it before the the "junkyard resellers" did.. or I would have been charged more if I bought it through them, but not $2000! I got a price quote for the my 6.0 408 short block for $3500. Not too bad imo but tryin to paint my car this year and build up the 5.7.. hopefully you can get a better deal!

All I can say is WOW! Awesome job, great choice on those wheels, love the bucket seat upgrade. You guys do it all!

Thank you sir! I have plans on upgrading to 4:10 gears, ls6 intake and full header and exhaust upgrade soon oh and paint what do you guys think of some sort of gunmetal gray or keep it og paint??

I like keeping the car the factory colors with a two stage paint, that is what I will be doing this winter.

Nice score on the LQ4 and since the bearing is spun you may as well go with a new crank and if you are getting a new crank may as well go with bigger pistons as well. If it were mine I would go with a set of L92 heads with an LS3 intake or a 102 that fits the square ports.

If you ever change your heads make sure you get a cam spec'd to those heads, the square and cathedral cam grinds are alot more different then most people think

I've been thinking about the l92 heads swap....

It's been a while since I've done anything to my GP! :? still need it tuned to run right, runs great for 30min then starts running like sh*t!!! My tuner is REALLY busy and it seems like no time for me... :wtf: anyways I I started to collect parts for either future LS1 upgrades and or my 408 stroker.....bought some 799 heads and a ls6 Z06 intake, heads will get a rebuild and maybe a AI CNC rebuild I if I can swing it... if I stick with the ls1 i'll do a ARP rod bolt, ls2 chain upgrade and a cam along with heads.. or rebuild the 6.0 to 408 ....
