I just finished installing the H-4 kit I bought from Mike @ Mikes Montes a couple of years ago.
I followed the instructions to the letter.
I made sure the polarity from the black plug of the new harness matches the original 3 prong plug from the passenger side low beam:blue to green, white to tan and black to black.
I have the relays nicely secured, the black ground wires are all grounded and the power is hooked up.
I switched the lights on and low beam work perfectly, but when I turn the high beams on there is no lights on,low or high.
This has got me scratching my head.
Any ideas on what might be wrong ???
Guy

when you turn the high beams on does the green wire have power at the lights? And if I remember correctly two wires in the hi/lo light connector have to be reversed.

Is it possible the high beams are overloading the circuit breaker?

Steve,I had to "step back" yesterday.
My patience was wearing out,LOL
I did switch the wires around but it made no difference.
I will check that soon.
What do I do if it turns out there is no power at the green wire ??

Does the kit you referred to include relays to run the lights off of?

it there is not power at the green wire then I would check at the switch to see it there is any power there

when I put my H4 lights without a relay it did overload the breaker in the headlight switch but the hi beams would come on for a second or 2 before they shut down

Since they are on relays it should not be overloading the breaker. Maybe get an assistant to work the dimmer switch while you listen/feel for the high beam relay to work as a place to start. You will likely have to chase the problem down with a multi-meter. It's most likely a crossed wire, bad connection or maybe a bad relay. Maybe try swapping the two relays to see if that changes anything as a quick test.
