Check out my budget cloth seat and door panel fix vids. I just don't have the money right now to buy new repop upper door panels and seat covers. They turned out freakin awesome. It will get me by for a while.

Try using a fabric brush, available on Amazon. You can scrub fabric between coats,no worries then of clumping. Love the progress, keep up the good work.

Why would I use a fabric brush when I've already got them looking new already?

You mentioned spraying lightly as to not clump. Ive had some success with the same process using it on seats as well.

It also allows you to get a deeper color, less resprays.

So I'm pretty pleased right now. I have looked everywhere here for the factory radio pig tails. I had already found the front and rear speaker ones but could not find the power/ground/illumination one. I looked two days ago on ebay and found them at Mikes Montes and there was one left. So I went to hit the buy it now button this morning and they're sold out. I did find another set on ebay but thought I'd better check a Cutlass dash harness I have in the attic first. I got it down and the plug I need is there. It's the only one there too. Got lucky. Someone had cut the yellow and black almost at the edge of the plug in so I had to do some wiring repair. I removed the pin from the plug and repaired the wires so I could add more if needed. I set up the radio I restored a couple days ago with a battery, speaker, and some wire for a bench test. IT WORKS. 😎 I think Showtime (Kevin) may be going to send me the knobs I need. He's going to look

I did make room to move one vehicle into my fence. I got everything used out today to compare them and pick out the best. It actually took all day and nowhere near finished. I separated out all the engine components and matched up all the bolts. Then those got tagged and bagged. Went through my box of distributor junk and found a brand new Accell cap and rotor. The only thing that bugs me is the only set of fairly new plug wires I have are some YELLOW 8mm Accells (YUK). I HATE yellow plug wires but they're here so going to use them. They are 45 degree boots to work with the manifolds. I know, I know, plug wires are cheap but I still have to license the car, get insurance on it, get a windshield and urethane, and some paint supplies. I have crap out everywhere but put all the best picked parts together in my spare bedroom.
Whats the part number for those wires? Black boots? Yellow wires looked damn good imo on my teal motor.

I went through my magic attic and found a few big face Delco radios. I want a stock radio but wasn't sure exactly what it looked like. I looked at Google images and it seems to be a matte face. The buttons are black but have silver inserts. I have a radio with equalizer from a late 80s Cadillac. The face looks the same except it says symphony sound and has full chromed buttons. I just spent about 2 hours disassembling two radios to swap the small buttons. I polished each button and cleaned every area. It looks fantastic for its age but I don't have the volume and tune knobs. I believe they are specific to Monte Carlos with the silver insert having a beveled edge. I don't mind the Symphony Sound logo but wonder if it's got a better built in amp???

It'll be about 3x as loud as a normal cassette delco radio. I made that swap recently. I got my eq radio out of a fwd cutlass at a local junkyard. Was scouting for an elco door handle, (or any that would fit) and there it was.

I have no idea on part number. They are loose. They have the pinkish/red 45 boots but a couple burned. Going to swap on two straight black boots from a few red wires I have for spares. I guess I'm just a black only plug wire guy.

So I got a small bit of metalwork done today. Got some small holes welded up that someone drilled. Also fixed a crack on the trunk seal lip. One side of the rusted front roof T got 90% finished. Supposed to be 60 plus degrees tomorrow. Planning on working on metalwork all day. Going to close my garage door and turn off the phone. Kept having an issue with the wire spool binding up. I pulled it apart 4 times re feeding wire all the way to the tip. The 5th time the wire spool did not make it out alive. Lost my temper and it got @#$%^& up. I'm just about out of mig gas so got to run over to my local welding supply in the morning.
