yea this isn't the full fiberglass one from the old honest charlies. I wish it was.

Not to sidetrack, but what was the differences in the aftermarket noses?

I’m right now installing a Choo Choo nose, the headlights in mine mount to the nose in a fiberglass housing not the rad support.

Some mount to the nose? You and Roger have mounts on the core?

Just curious. Thought it might help someone else down the road.

If my old memory serves me right, about a month ago someone on El Camino Centrel posted the directions for the old Lauren knockoff SS nose. I know they’re directions told you to alter your old bumper bumper as yours is just like Choo Choo.

I've seen they utilize the bumper with the ends cut off for reinforcement. Just didn't realize there was other differences. I would've thought the headlights would've attached to the nose?

I sure don’t know all the differences, Honest Charley’s and JP Autoparts mount to the nose. I don’t know about Lauren (RIP) Stay away from the JP nose, it wasn’t even an eighth of an inch thick, they didn’t have you reuse your altered bumper,directions said to rivet the headlight housings in place. It sure didn’t seem like it would last many 60 MPR drives. It took 2 months to get my refund.

Mine is an original 1983 Choo Choo so it's a very early one. I assume it was done the same way thru '87 but don't know that.

I guess they made revisions over the years. I like the newer way, I can install the complete headlight assembly after painting. With the nose on the car . Check with Honest Charley’s, salesman John Sullivan , he may have a solution to your problem .
