Has anyone ever set up a SUM 991102 heavy duty heater in a gbody?

Just a question...why use the summit box?
stock chevy suburban with rear heat,also some conversion vans are the same thing. junkyard 20-50 bucks. then if the heater core goes bad they are less than 30 for the replacement.
