F**k!

Ok so It was good. I sucessfully got realy installed, worked all buttoned up and tight, tested all connections, best I can figure there is a junction box open faced with a bus bar in it that runs hot all the time, up inside the drivers side way above the realys and fuse box on firewall where it curves up to meet the dash. Anyways, figure that was loose, becuse after probing all these spots all was working 100%.

backup lights work, safety neutral work perfect.

as a percaution I ran 1 guage wire from battery to alternator during all this trial and error.

Now I charge at 18.5 volts. Shut it down. Backfiring a bit. :wtf:
too much reisatance across the wire? i guess I need to run fine strand auto wire from bat to alternator.

checked the alternator light, its working and connected. When I disconect the plug no light... so I figure thats telling me I got a good connection. Changed pigtail connection and bolted the 2 down to the post.

I guess i will take off the 1 guage and try again. i figure it easier to type then try it... lol :blam:

any thoughts? anyone? its nice out, I want to get it on the ashphalt/!

0k so i changed out to 4 ga fine strand stereo wire. Voltages dropped to 15 volts, then to 14.6.
All is good.

so now everything is upto snuff.
