New switch installed, 0 oil leaks now.

That being said, I’ve got quite a bit of smoke rolling. I lost 1.5 quarts or so, when it leaked and was able to shut it down just a few minutes after the leak. Oil got everywhere in the engine bay, and even on the firewall.

I’m thinking the smoke is just all the oil burning off? Engine temp and oil pressure look steady.

Wow... strange happenings. So I installed the new oil pressure switch. Oil leaks are gone. Next, I proceeded to cleanup and degrease the whole engine bay: carb, intake manifold, etc. because I don’t like for things to stay messy (note how clean up by the blue arrow).

I thought maybe the smoking was due to residual oil from the original massive leak from the oil pressure switch, so I went for a short spin. It started lightly smoking. Opened the hood and saw fresh oil on the cast iron exhaust manifolds (red arrow). Something in that area is leaking oil as well because I had just cleaned that red area spotless 5 minutes prior. Thoughts?? Also noticed my engine temp gauge isn’t working suddenly? Problems coming in waves.

Here’s a shot of the original oil pressure switch leak that’s now fixed just so you know I’m not bullshitting on that.

I was thinking it was the valve cover gasket? Tough to see much coming out, but it must be coming out the outside of the driver side valve cover.

for your temp problem check to see if the green wire is still attached to the sender that is in between #1 and #3 cylinders.

Wow, spot on with the green wire call. Now to figure out this other oil mystery? :/ I really don’t think it’s the valve covers. They were changed just a year ago (per my dad). I’ll tighten down on them some. I didn’t see anything gushing out.
