your second picture is a full coil. Just cut 1/2 coil. This picture is showing where you cut it.

Got it.. Thanks. I'm about the remove the stock stuff in a few. I plan on having my local spring shop compress the 5660s for me.. If I can't get that done any tips on removal and install that's would save me time

One thing to keep in mind when cutting springs is when you cut springs the spring rate increases. It will take more force to compress the spring one inch. Detroit eaton spring has a lot of good info on there website and videos on youTube on springs, rates, and cutting. Before you cut, take a little time to learn the effects and how to do it correctly the first time. Always better to be safe in everything you do.

with cutting off 1/2 coil the spring rate has not increased over 5%. I have the 5660 springs cut a little less than 1/2 coil with a cut off disk and the spring rate went from 639 to 660.

When you cut 1/2 coil off you said it dropped it 2"?
Also did you get the front end realigned after that and did it throw the alignment off by a lot?

If you leave the upper/lower control arms bolted in place, it shouldn't affect the alignment much. But since you are lowering the car it will affect the toe & camber settings. Definitely need to get the alignment checked after lowering. Definitely recommend taking measurements from the fender to the ground before & after the new coils. Don't be afraid of cutting a little less off the coil to begin with. It's more work to get it where you want it, but if you cut too much the first time you're buying new springs & starting over.

I also have a tall ball joint so it dropped it another 1/2". Whenever you change anything in the front end you need an alignment. I don't know how much the toe was affected cause I just brought my car in to have it aligned.
