Hood struts for a fiberglass cowl

I recently got a 2” Harwood cowl fiberglass hood and wanted to switch to gas struts to avoid bending the hood from the stock springs. What length have people on here used or recommend?

Not sure on what struts, but most people use Regal hood hinges since there is a mounting stud for a strut and no spring stock.

What regal hood hinges do you recommend? Or do I just buy the factory set?

Guess I didnt explain clearly. Regals used struts from the factory. You may have to use a lighter pressure strut to hold up a fiberglass hood though.
