Hood struts for a fiberglass cowl

only issue is regal hinges have the lower strut mount stud located on the inner fender. The other G's don't have that provision.
I modifed regal hinges and used Stabilus #4062 struts. I now have custom stainless struts, but the 4062's will work. You need a strut with 120lbs of force if it has the steel inner frame.

Looks clean, thanks. What specifically did you modify?
The regal hinges have a separate mount for the upper strut location. It mounts on the hood, about 2" further up from the hood hinge itself.
My brother n law and I measured and measured, then welded the upper strut mount directly to the hinge body. Basically using the front hinge mount hole for the strut side as well. Keeps it compact.

I gotta' ask.... Where did you source the SS strut? That's a nice upgrade.
