How do you cook your turkey ?

Yes, but cooking a turkey outdoors risks a visit from the Bumpus hounds!

I don't cook anything, the women stay out of the garage and I stay out of the kitchen, that's the deal.

However, my late grandmother used to stuff the turkey, bake it 3/4 of way, and then finish it in the fryer. Tasted pretty damn good. My mother cooks Thanksgiving now, and she refuses to stuff the bird, says stuffing the bird is cross contamination. My mom usually seasons the turkey pretty well and bakes it the whole way. It's always been fine.

I'm not picky, I'll eat whatever.

My wife was an RN nurse for 30 years. Over the years we had quite a few Thanksgiving dinners on Fridays because of her work schedule. That being said she would always roast the bird.
This year we're doing something different. My neighbor three houses down worked as a chef. This year he opened up a BBQ trailer in our town and his food was amazing. One of my other neighbors told me the guys been making his holiday dinners for the past 10 years. So, this year we're having someone else cook the turkey. We all like my wifes stuffing so hes just roasting it. No stuffing. Hes going to deliver it too ! Carved and ready to eat. Im hoping its as good as his ribs, brisket and pulled pork !

Brine and deep fry it!

X2 - must be an Upstate thing lol. Mix in a couple of beers and all entertainment is included. Last year we did burnouts while the turkey was a frying. This year I'll be shoveling snow from the sounds of it 🙁

Roast mine in the oven, then watch MST3K dvds until the bird is done.
