How do you cook your turkey ?

Going to be a frigid Thanksgiving for me this year, the high will only be 29 degrees F. The news said it will be the coldest Thanksgiving in 117 years! Supposed to get back into the high 50s by Sat, so the arctic blast will be brief.

I'm not responsible for cooking the bird yet, but my dad has been cooking them on a Weber charcoal grill for years!!!!! He gets it warmed up in the oven, then puts it on the grill with hickory wood, apple wood, etc for around 2 hours.
It turns out absolutely amazing!!! I'll try to get a pic tomorrow.
