any idea when complete kits will be available?

one of the only things missing is the top plate which could be sourced from Angelo Valenti. If you are looking for a complete concourse look wait for ours, if not buy his. We will have brackets, cables and shifters very shortly, within a couple, three months. I need to get home and install the prototype unit to make sure operation is flawless before we release it.

I was not aware of this, but the original Hurst lightning rods were actually retrofitted to the 442. I found the retrofit plans on Ebay in case anyone is interested in swapping them out. Below is the link:

I also found 2 sets of OEM lightning rods for upwards of $850. wow!
Yep the 4 speed version based off & came after the 3 speed version which were mainly put in old late 70s - early 80s Pontiac's and camaros. For whatever reason people think the 3 speed lightning rods were an aftermarket knockoff that came out after Olds made the 84 H/Os when in fact the 3 speeds were out in 81 if I'm not mistaken.

Just wait a bit. I am putting the test set in tonight and after I approve them we start producing them.

So I was able to put the prototype Lightning Rods into my 81 and I am extremely pleased with the results. From the operation of the shifters to the brackets we had made including the Z bracket, all the parts came together and fit flawlessly. I am pleased to say they pass....and I have given the ok for the MFG to start production. I took some video for youtube with some helpful pointers for install so as soon as I get them loaded ill post the link on this thread.
