Need to replace the alternator. In doing so, some of the wiring got all chewed up for whatever reason. Question is: Where does the alternator pigtail connect to? I know obviously it clips to the back of the alternator, but where do the other two ends go? Just for the record, I feel very dumb asking this question.

Delcotron. Rear post is big battery feed probably to starter battery post with a fuse link. Big red wire on 2 post plug in is also battery feed. Small wire the key on 12 volts from idiot light of gauge.

ok cool. I know the post goes to positive battery terminal. Pin 1 and pin 2 are the questions I have. So one goes to the idiot light in the dash.....I dont need that do I? The other pin also goes to the battery? This is the pigtail.

Loop the pigtail red wire to the stud on back. Run another wire from stud on back to battery. White pigtail wire ties to factory brown wire to going to dash. If its not hooked up the charge light on dash will be on
