Grab Yourself A Torsen Posi Unit From A 99-02 Camaro/Trans Am. It Is Much Like The Eaton Locker. It Uses Gears Instead of Clutches. I'm Going To Be Getting One This Winter And Rebuilding My 7.5 With One. And They Are 28 Spline For Added Strength.

never seen one of them before....interesting...how much can you pick one of them up for?

First, go find a factory manual and read the section on differentials.http://www.factoryautomanuals.com/ It will give you a headache, but, once you understand what's involved, and the tools that are required, you will soon see why it's infinity easier to get a whole rear, or pay a shop to do the carrier swap. I vote find a whole rear.

You Can Snag Them From The J-Yard For Cheap Or Ebay For About 200 Bucks. Well Worth It! For A Gear Type Posi!

Yea I agree a whole new rear sounds better for longevity vs a new carrier. There are tons of LS1 rear ends on ebay. That would be my first choice If I went that route.

as far as auburn or eaton, i would go with the eaton unit. i put a auburn in my monte, it works fine but it isn't very smooth. it feels like a locker if you crank the wheels all the way and try to take off it jumps around quite a bit. i added posi additive and really doesn't help much. i put a eaton unit in my cutlass. it is very smooth and works great.

I went the same route ...Only issue I've found is that these LSD units don't like the "shock" from drag racing but road racing they work good..
