I did the 507 Cadillac........ had it sitting for a lot of years waiting on the right project/time/funds.

500 Ft Lbs of torque at 2300-2500 RPM, rock solid reliability, low compression = regular fuel.

It’s powerful enough to hold its own as a weekend toy and gets good enough gas mileage to be a daily driver.

I better hurry and finish before I start spending all my money on stupid stuff like a house and bills

I would like to do a Buick or Pontiac build someday, something that looks factory but has some pretty serious internal work done.

if price wasn't an issue...
... I wouldn't settle for just one... I'd have a line of power plants sitting on standby,

- LSX stroked to a 500, discised as a ordinary LQ4
- a Caddy 500, with some mod's for higher rpms
- a Buick 455, on a revised Stage 2 build
- a Olds 455, on a forged crank and oiling mods for high rpms
- a Pontiac 455, in a AllPontiac block, forged crank
- and a small cubes LSX on boost

... And if money wasn't an issue... I'd fab up a T56 setup on all of them!

Personally I like the BBC... Dream motor I'd get an aluminum extra tall deck block long rod 565 (4.600bore 4.25stroke), a Callies ultra billet crank, billet A or H beam rods, Brodix CNC BB2 heads do the valve train with titanium valves and retainers for high revs like they do in motorcycles, shaft mounted rockers and belt drive, really big solid roller cam, run a not so insane 12:1-ish compression ratio, and top it off with a Hilborn or Kinsler EFI injection stack system.

I imagine it would make massive power probably and could do 7,500-8,000 rpm easy without even the slightest worry about breaking it. Plus I think Hilborn style injection is the coolest looking intake system ever. I'd back it with built up close ratio 4 speed and put it in a Black Monte SS, or a triple black 66 Chevelle with about a 2-3 inch cowl hood so the stacks would stick out of it. Or a 69 Camaro can am race car tribute... OMG that would be sick.

I've love to take a 572, drop on a fuel injection system, and maybe a low-boost supercharger.

But, the "price wasn't an issue" phrase would have to include buying gas. My realistic dream engine, would be a nice low-end torquer 455 olds for my next Cutty.
