That round two prong is for the oil pressure switch. light blue with grey plug is electric choke. thin green with black plug is temp. black square plug is ac and blower motor high speed (red wire).
thick pink wire is the distributor power.

pressure switch at top rear of engine (SBC, don't know about the Buick)......oil pressure allows current to the blue wire for the choke..

3.8 oil switch is on the front by the timing cover. there is also a bell shaped sender on the back of the engine by the firewall area, near where a sbc would be. I think that's only for a gauge tho.

Okay. That makes more sense. The one I thought was the choke wire is actually the temperature sensor.

That one with the little rubber seal confuses me. Lol

Guess I'll need to look at my blower motor again. I don't see anywhere for that black plug to go. IMG_20200719_140645006.jpg

the rubber plug with 3 wires, tan, brown, blue, is the oil pressure switch plug. it gets power from the fuse box (brown i believe), keeps the oil/choke (same circuit) light (tan wire i believe) off when everything is working, and gives that power from the brown to the blue choke wire when 4psi of oil pressure closes the switch and bridges the connection. when you have less than 4psi of oil pressure at any point, or there is a break in the circuit like a broken wire or bad choke coil, it will light up on the dash and consequently the choke wont work.
