Hello, new member and owner of a few G bodies. Two 1984 buick GNs (just sold one a few weeks ago) and a 1984 Pontiac Grand Prix which was purchased brand new by my grandmother in dec 1983. Still have original bill of sale etc. anyways. I’m planning on purchasing another GN (1987 astroroof) soon and in the meantime I’m working on the old Grand Prix. Long story short. GP was original a 3.8 v6 auto 60/40 column, and now is a olds 350 rocket #5 heads t350 bucket lol.
Original trans went bad and I replaced with a 2004r BOP trans because I didn’t know what motor I was gonna put in it one day (was looking for a Pontiac 400) but ended up getting the 72 350/350 rocket. Swapped that over now I’m working on the rear end, putting in a Richmond 4.10 Posi I ran across for a steal and getting the old 2004r BOP rebuilt and put back in for the rear end and 4th gear OD. (So its somewhat freeway driveable) hope that you guys can help me along my journey, please don’t get frustrated with me because I’m not too familiar with transmission stuff or “the lingo” so I pre apologize if I am slow lol.
