Newbie question here?
If I wanted to start talking about bushings and control arms now would I start a new conversation?

try using the search function in the upper right hand corner of the screen, just to see if there's an exsisting thread that will answer what you're looking for.if not ask away.

Going to be putting GN rear end in and I’m wondering if people have preferences on upper control arms. Some say to go with stock style and some say to go with moving joint style that’s adjustable. What are people’s thoughts on this. Is it over kill or is it close enough to cost of stock style to just get them.

Probably street but possibly go to strip one day once I’ve changed equipment over the years. I think the plan as of last night is stock arms but all new bushings for the whole car. Going to go with rubber. Not looking to reinvent the wheel here. Just a really cool cruiser that handles better than factory specs.

I have a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham and it’s all stock. Has 307 sbc with all accessories including air pump.
I think you have a SBO not a Chevy so keep that in mind with your swap because nothing carries over from your current engine.

Don't do it!!!!!! Use the search button here and look at the disappointing reviews of them. Most guys end up with a 4x4 look. There are plenty other options out there. I have 1" drop Hotchkis springs on my '87 Cutlass with a 26" tire. It could come down another inch, but I'd go with MOOGS first. Engine wasn't in in this pic. View attachment 116236
I'm looking at your cowl hood. What height is it and did you incorporate it into your hood or is it a full fiberglass hood???

I'd like to know as well. what paint color also. beautiful!
Thanks guys! It is a full glass bolt on 3-1/2" cowl hood. I got the hood from UP22 years back, and the quality left me less than impressed. I was on a budget, that hood was in my budget...ya get what ya pay for I guess. After alot of bodywork it looks way better, but still has flaws.
I did a semi custom hood strut setup based off of regal/GN hood hinges and Sebring Convertible (if I recall correctly) decklid struts. The car is painted a charcoal metallic with Omni brand base and PPG clear. Here are a few pics, but I don't wanna muddy up this thread too bad....
