this is the 99 camaro console i am putting in my 83 malibu and it has a nice flat spot i was able to mount my tach to

this is it installed and more to come next the dash and headliner

how easy was the installation? ive been looking to put a console in my cutlass.

i would say total install time was about 45 mins i took some L brackets and grinded some parts off to fit snug it than drilled some holes in the floor and bolted it down im pretty sure thers other ways it could be done that could have been easeir but i used wat i had but im not upset with my outcome to be honest that console hugs the the trans tunnel realy good it fits flush with no mods :!:

actually my friend had the camaro as a donor car for his 79 elco he wanted the lt1 and 700r4 with comp wiring harnes etc. and he said if i helped him with stripping it down i can have the interior so i payed no money but for a couple hours of hard work i got this console and bucket seats but im throwin the seats in a 2 door malibu some day but i seen some consoles for around 160 on ebay that are in prestige condition mines a bit warn but i did my best to restore it with some vinyl paint and other things

Very nice. Been looking for a console replacement for my 87 since 2006...previous owner took the one out of the car I have. (?) As everyone here knows, hard as heck to find a good one, and if you do, they are outrageously priced. More than I can put in one. I may have to check this out.

I have the same console in my GP...that's an interesting way you modified the front of it. I was thinking of what to do with mine and I think you gave me an idea. I installed the camaro handbrake so if your interested in how I did that pm me. You probably had the same issue I have with that coffee cup holder when hitting the brakes it launches the coffee... :?
