Im installing a new turn signal switch. I started it a couple weekends ago and had it torn apart. I was assembling it and the pin as in the picture that is for the steering wheel lock wasn't working, the wheel won't lock. I took it back apart and it just doesn't look right. Can someone describe what its missing or better yet a picture. I tried searching and couldn't find anything.....also when I had it together I decided to see if it worked and the horn honks when you turn the wheel...Ill look into that when I put it back together. Any help is appreciated.

Ya I believe it does to in one way. The pin was never removed. I think its missing a spring or the spring on it is weak. The pin stays down and does not come back into the lock plate after shutting the car off. Seems odd to me.

the shifter is in park and key is removed of course....hmmmm

someone on here must have a column apart that can help you you out. If I'm not mistaken I think Bonnewagon has a column out of a car

Nope. I put it back together and it it just below the lock plate. It seems odd to me. I dont have any extra parts or anything....Strange. Ill probably wait until spring and go to a U-Pull it and take a column apart and see whats missing or what is incorrect.

I got pissed off at it and I cleaned out the garage. I needed to make room for a new compressor. So I backed it out of the garage and was doing burnouts in the camaro, until the wife yelled at me. but I did get a good chance for a photo opp with the cutlass and camaro.

that Camaro looks sweet, at least you had fun with it until the boss caught you. It's probably something simple with the column, it always is with things like that.
