Is anyone else in the gbody community annoyed by the gold diggers?

I hear the same crying on the Mopar forums. Boo hoo over Dusters and Road Runners that are not the $4000 they used to be. I've parted out Hemi cars when they were just junk parts cars.
The same tears on the Mustang sites. Dudes reminiscing of the 300,000km Mustang they found on the car lot for $3000.

Times have changed, minimum wage is not $5/hr.

A good condition G body starts at $10g. Anything desirable like a 442 or GN. Take your pick. A nice GN or a new Camry. Almost the same price.

Even 98-11 Ford Panthers are already heading this way.

This one is kicking around in your area, was for sale a few moths back. Actually came out of Mulvane, lived in OKC area for about 12 years and went back to ICT early this year. I miss it.

I can't decide if I recognize it from the street or just all the great info I've copied from your posts over the years. Seriously, thank you for the wealth of knowledge you've shared with me (all of us, but mostly me). I spent the better part of 2 years reading nearly every post on this site and you consistently provide extensive, easy to follow information that just can't (and won't) be found anywhere else.

I say I might recognize that wagon from the street because I'm actually from Mulvane, graduated high school there in '04, and currently reside 8 miles outside of there. I have a Peck mailing address. I'm a Pecker.

A couple of years ago I saw someone selling a LS swapped bright red Cutlass for $40K on the street. It had a crudely hammered out hood bump for engine clearance, a sure sign of quality craftmanship.

A local yard here went through a final crush out / liquidation a few years ago. They had five or six of those "Panther" chassis cars, maybe five or six. Perfect metal underneath, no rot, no scale. Guess the dirt track and derby people use them up in the midwest. Offered them to a guy who transports stuff up there. Likely for "scale" weight maybe $300 each. Too busy, couldn't make it over, not enough time etc. They all went to scrap. Although I can't see why they would be worth much either, a lot of plastics, and the troublesome and over engineered OHC engine.
The dealer ads (streetside, etc) listed earlier are ridiculous, but perhaps the problem is some want a killer deal right in their backyard. They have a limited activity sphere, and cannot see out of their local regions.
