I agree with flemming. If you plan on using lowering spindles you want a much stiffer than stock but at the same time factory ride height spring. And with a Buick 350 being relatively light a moog 5660 would be an excellent choice.

I might have missed it, blame it on the Diet Busch, but why not just buy the Speedway upper arms, rebuild your lowers and be done with it? I can't remember how it was exactly but im pretty sure for G-body cars you buy 2 right side upper control arms for a Camaro and they work perfect on our cars. They are/were the cheapest upper arms I could find. That's what I did on my 83 anyway.

If I'm doing tubular uppers, I want tubular lowers as well. It's just my hard headed all-or-nothing way of thinking.

Joe, you can take the Pig for a spin when you come pick up the heater. 😛
All I'm saying is that the Belltech 2" drop spindles, 5660s, KYBs rock. I guess ya gotta drive it- location thing....

That is an offer I will not turn down! Are you sure you want to hand me the keys to that thing, especially with new tires on it?

That makes two votes for the 5660/drop spindles. I do want to make use of drop spindles. It's one less old part I have to clean and powdercoat, (which isn't a big deal but it is work nevertheless) but I like that they don't mess with the suspension geometry, and it's a guaranteed 2" of drop.

Here is a picture of 307 Regal's car after he did his lowering. His car is Buick 350 powered. I think he used Hotchkiss rear springs, Belltech spindles, and Viking hybrid coilovers in the front. I love the way that car sits.

I did spend a half hour or so pulling some more parts off of the frame. I pulled the proportioning valve, all the front brake lines, and a couple sections of fuel line. Pulled the sway bar too. I've got to get the back of the car up on stands, pull the rest of the fuel and brake lines and the e-brake cables.

Ever take something apart and think "What the f*ck was I thinking when I did that?"

I've had a few of those moments as I've been pulling parts off of this thing.

It's all good dawg! Bring it, don't sing it.
Trust me, I'm not offering up anything I wouldn't do my self.

I'm just jagging around, but I will absolutely take it for a spin! As I said I think my dad is slowly and reluctantly coming to the realization that any type of adequate heating system is going to require a flue.

That also applies to "why did I buy it?", "why did/do I want to keep it?", "why did I go down the rabbit hole?"...

Sure does, I've been going through car parts and tossing sh*t out little by little every week on trash night. I've got parts for cars I don't have any more and I've got parts for the vehicles I do have that I'll never use. I like having spare parts but I hate clutter even more.

I spent some more time looking into control arms. So Moog has two different lines of control arms, the CKs which are the "better" problem solvers, and the RKs which are a cheap budget line.

For our cars and the S10s, the better CKs are discontinued and any that are still available are old inventory. So basically I'm stuck going with the crappy RK control arms if I want the new Moogs. sh*t. I'm not liking my options here.

I bought a set of AllStar lowers for the Cutlass

For my Regal I just bought these fully loaded uppers to get the car on the road instead of wasting my time blasting and rebuilding my rusty originals.
If I decide later on I want to upgrade I don't have a lot invested in these and can probably sell them when removed.
The lowers I found new also but they were bare so I bought bushings and balljoints from Rockauto.
The car aligned fine and drives fine so this fit the budget build plan for the Regal for the time being.

What is wrong with old inventory?
