Got the doors removed today. It was relatively painless. Easy to do with the fenders off. I was gonna do some more but I didn't want to push my luck.

I'll admit to a bit of procrastination. The next real step is to get the body off the frame. I need to get over to Metal Supermarkets and buy some square tube steel so I can build some bracing before I lift it. Really not a big deal, it's just been hot and I've been playing around with chainsaws and uh, *whipsers* Fords.

Proof of life post, feeling kinda guilty that I haven't done anything in a couple months. I'm blaming Covid. Tube steel, weld in braces, lift body is the next step. Sorry for the lame "update" but I figured I'm due for a post before DRIVEN yells at me again 🤣

I buyed stuff.

4 pieces of 1" square tube steel and 2 pieces of 2" square tube. 1/8" thick on both. So my plan is still the same as before, something like this-

Then I'll make an "X" from corner to corner with the last two pieces, like so-

I think that should be strong enough to keep the body from flexing while it's off the frame and I remove and replace the inner rockers.

If you've got any better ideas or if you think this is adequate, say so before I start burning this stuff in. Let me know whatcha think.

I talked about this briefly in my build thread but I think it should have it's own thread. I'm going to be lifting the body off of the frame, and I want to avoid putting any additional stress off on the body and avoid causing it to flex or buckle while it's up. Last thing I need is the pillars...
