Yeah see your rims are so big that fitment issues on the inside of the rim to brake caliper are non existent.

So then, dotheshuffle, What wheel size are you running now with the 80"s camaro rear swap you just did ?
Did the 80's z28's come with larger than 15" rims.

No, they came with 15x7s, I'm running 15x10s with a rolled fender. BFG radial t/a's. No issues.

Awesome, Do you by chance have any photos of your setup from the installation ?
That would help a lot. Your car is very much like mine except I'm running the stock 2.41
rear peg leg With the new rear and the current gearing what is your 60 mph cruise
rpm?

I don't have photos from the installation, what in particular are you looking for? It runs at like 3500 on the highway. Not a long distance car. Get the right torque converter for the 3.73 and it's pretty fun. I'd highly recommend overdrive however, and maybe 3.42 rear if I was to do it over.

Allstar has all the parts to do it.

Brackets
All42180
All42181

Rotors (93-97 Camaro rear rotor, might be cheaper at the part store)
All42095

Calipers (also cheap at the part store)
All42083
All42084

Combo valve
All41042

Plus your choice of pads.

I think it comes in just under 200 bucks, all new parts, 11-5/8ths rotor, and you can run the same brake pads all the way around.

Thanks 96, A killer list of parts you have with the numbers awesome. I will be printing this out...

So the 3.73 and the 3 speed auto are little bit to revy at highway speeds huh....
Thats kind of what I thought. My rear tires are 265 -60- 15 and with the 2.41
I can barely get to 2500 rpm on any shift point. unless you hold it in gear.
So what you said tells me I probably should stay around 3.23 or even 3.08
3.08 is as big as I can go on this carrier. but a 3.23 and limited slip diff would be the cream.

You can adjust the shift points in the transmission with a shift kit and a spring change in the accumulator. I'm still a fan of 3.08s and a 700R4 together. The ultra-low first gear, high enough rear ratio that fourth gear puts you below the drone dual-exhausted 350s make at 2200 RPM.
