God Bless Texas. In Texas salt is for margaritas, not roads!

Damn kuruption. I checked this thread and my PM's this morning to make sure no one had put up anymore requests. It's gonna have to wait a bit till I get back out there again. There are tons of four door malibus out there, all have good quarter panel extension pieces. They don't crush those cars as fast compared to the newer stuff. Some of those bu's have been out there for years and they aren't goin anywhere. I'll let you know when I get the chance to head back out.

Here are the parts I snagged up today as requested by some of my fellow members. Hell I even found an edelbrock torker II intake hidden under the hood of an 82' olds with a sbc in it. Other parts include trim pieces from a malibu and grand prix, S10 manual steering box, and a dash trim insert. Anyone want an S10 manual steering box, there are tons of those down here too.

What was real funny was when I came across an el camino that had gotten in a really bad wreck and the bed of it was filled with porno magazines and KY bottles lol

But this is mainly a test feel to see how this goes shipping parts North. If it goes smoothly and I don't get stiffed, then I have no problem continuing this. I know how hard it is to find parts for our cars up there, since I lived in Maine for a time, and how there really isn't much.

He had a loss of blood to the head, or too much to the other head! That's why he smashed his elco!

I for one would like to thank Pat for being cool enough to step up and help us. Thanks! I have been looking for the trim pieces for a GRIP and haven't been successful. Looking forward to getting them! Super cool dude to talk to as well !

Ah Pick-N-Pull San Antonio. I've lived in there since 1995. Go there all the time. I LOVE that they now have a shuttle service. So nice on HOT days!

There is another good yard in San Antonio called Roosevelt Pick-A-Part. Not far from Pick-N-Pull. Lots there too.

I was at PNP a few weeks back and they did have a ton of G-Body Grand Prix's. They have an entire section of B-Body Caprice-type cars, it's awesome.

Now Dallas has THE BEST YARDS. In the DFW area there are 5-6 Pick-N-Pull type yards. I drive up there for a weekend of yarding whenever I can. Nothing rusts, it's awesome.

Houston has 4 big yards as well, but you have to watch there, as cars near the gulf can have salt air damage.

One of my favorite parts about living in Austin is having all these awesome yards within 1-3 hrs drive. ; )

I go more for the Lt1-powered B-body station wagons and Caprice police cars than the Cutlass....but am switching to G-body searches since my Roadmonster wagon is pretty much done. Here's a few pics from a recent run. Not G-bodies but you get an idea of what's there.

God Bless Texas. In Texas salt is for margaritas, not roads! 😀

I'll get G-body pics next time I hit the yards.

Re: Junkyard PICS South Texas (Back from Another Trip)

Did you come across any 1998-2002 f body cars I was looking for the rear disc brake setup

Re: Junkyard PICS South Texas (Back from Another Trip)

No there isn't much for 98-02 f-bodies because they are really popular down here and 9 times out of ten, the salvage yards hang onto it and sell it whole or scavenge parts off it for themselves.

Jbreau, the price depends on where I'm shipping to, but based on this one I should be selling to beermonkey, I'm 'asking $80, that includes price and shipping, and that is all cleaned up and painted if you want. I have more tools here than most to clean parts, ie compressors, pneumatic tools, wire wheels, etc.

There are plenty of your body style monte carlo out there so I'll keep my eyes peeled for that chrome trim your looking for. Can you post a pic of a monte carlo with the trim so I have an idea of what to look for.
