I sympathize with you. This was a brand new 60,000 mile tire which only had 200 miles on it before the burn-out comp at MM05. This is what 2 - 3 mins of frying will do.

heres a pic of my new tires when i switched to 16" on my malibu. these are a matching set that had 100kilometers on them AT THE MOST. the accompaning steel belts for the tire on the left are sitting on top........... 
I love those tires. I thought I have seen bad ones but those take the cake. Just 1 question, did they blow up?
Thats impressive! I've worn them down to the steel belt but nothing like that! Holy smokes! Hahahaha
