Late model seats in a G body?

I would look for another GM seat and try to find one that either matches your interior or matches the way you want the interior to look.
I bought aftermarket seats from Cerullo and made brackets for both seats to fit GM Gbody power units and I also bought enough extra material to make my door panels, headliner and cover my rear seat and visors. I originally had light gray interior with 60/40 seats.

What centre console did you use? Is that out of something late model, custom fabed...?

Looks like a 70-81 Camaro automatic console that he added cupholders, to me.

It's from a blue 78' Trans Am but I modified it to fit the Monte and added cupholders.

Same here, 2nd gen Firebird fits well. But I used SEM Colorcoat to match my interior.

Since my car has a full bench I don't have the factory mounts next to the trans tunnel. Everybody says to either find some in a donor car and cut them out, or order some reproductions on line. Either way I have to weld them to the floor pan. Is there any reason why I couldn't just make some home made mounts and just weld those in instead?

Just make them. I like to sit more upright so I fabricated some custom perches and welded them to the floor. If you just bolt them down with big washers underneath then the original seats can go back in if that becomes necessary.

I have been seriously considering pulling the seats from my parts 2003 Monte SS for the wagon.

I believe it was someone on this fourm that put a Buick La Sabre interior in his regal - it looked great, maybe he will pipe up.
