Late model seats in a G body?

So I'm finally getting those 4th gen Camaro seats installed. I got some G body seat tracks that I bolted to them and got some inner floor mounts, now I'm trying to dry fit everything before I start welding and things don't seem to be lining up? The seats seem to be far away from the console and are right up against the door. Any one ever have this problem before?

Sounds like you may have to modify the mounting configuration to be able to move the seats inward. . I'm sure it will be worth the effort.

Well I have the tracks bolted to the bottom of the seat, and then to the outer floor mount and the seat doesn't sit right. I was wondering if I had the tracks on the wrong way or something but I don't see them bolting on another way.
I'm surprised you are having this difficulty. I was under the impression you could put the g body tracks on numerous GM seats and they would drop in.

I was under the same impression, that's why I'm confused. Although I did see mention on another website that some one had the same problem but they never elaborated on the cause or ever offered a solution.

On a w body forum I'm on a guys son has an 87 elco. They tried some camaro seats in it(has an 88 iroc with a stockpile of spares) and ran into the same issues
