LED Switchback lights

Hello. I'm in need of help, so I'm reaching out. I have a 1980 malibu that I installed the switchback lights in. Before I changed the flasher, the lights were white, hit the turn signal, solid amber. I replaced the flasher with a ll552 led flasher, and they are not switching between the two when the signal is on or off. They only stay amber.

I would try resistors instead of the led flasher. I can't tell you why, but sometimes flashers work, sometimes resistors work, and sometimes the car is just not meant to have leds
