the chassis is painted metallic silver to match the tin for the interior so it's ready for final assembly. It takes longer to paint the chassis with all the tubes and corners than it does to paint a car. The body is yellow and is getting wrapped so no painting needed on the body. This will be our first car with bump stops so our good friend J.R. Fitzpatrick will be helping us out. If the car looks small to some of you it is. Pro late models are quick circle track cars and if you drop a cup car engine in it this car will blow away the cup car.

it's finally wrapped and ready for the track tomorrow.....tonite will be spent of setting up the bump with the help of JR Fitzpatrick

So what size motor do you run and what kind of HP does it pump out. How fast in the straight aways?
 
the engine is a sealed 604 crate with a 4 barrel hp holley carb. HP is rated 400 hp and you can't do any mods on the engine by the rules cause it's sealed and it's chipped at 6300 rpm. I'm not sure what this car will do cause it's a fresh build. It's a Howe 44 lbs partially raised front clip with a Howe center section that is not a perimeter or a straight rail. A straight rail is better but they have weight penalties for a straight rail so we'll see how this hybrid car works. The rear clip is also a Howe but we changed a few posts cause Howe like to use thin walled tubing to save weight and we rather save the driver. Also the rules have changed from a 10" Hoosier slick to an 8" American Racer slick. With that same engine in our sportsman we do a 1/2 mile track in 20:10 on 8" Hossier slicks. The LM is a smaller car than the sportsman, it has strut suspension and a quick change rear end so it should blow the doors off the sportsman. Personally I like the sportsman races better and in that series we should be taking the championship this year.
 
To bad they put you guys on American Racers they can't make a GoKart tire, as long as everyone has to run them it makes it better till someone sneaks the juice to them
