Thanks Dogshit, where would I find these air bags you speak of? Sounds like an interesting option if its not too expensive.
I was also wondering if it is possible to just raise the rear a bit and use a stiffer spring possibly from a heavier car.

2 votes for the air bags.
565bbchevy, any tips on where to find the air bags? Are they tough to install?
Do you have a 565 big block in the car in your avatar? That thing must be a monster!!

Make that three votes for the bags. You're looking for a kit like this one.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AIR-60844/

Not hard to install, but like mentioned you will want two air line kits so you can adjust the pressures independently of each other. You will end up with more in the passenger side bag.

edit-I think that link has two valves in it, but i'd call to be sure.

They also have a hotchkis air bag kit at summit. $115.
Part 31750.
I'm using my phone so I'm having trouble with the link.
anyone know if one of these kits is better than the other?

I know both Summit and Jegs carry the drag bags, as mentioned pretty straightforward to install (hardest part would be removing your springs to install the bags) and as long as your rear springs are factory a kit should be easy to find, I have lowering springs that are smaller diameter and obviously shorter so I had to measure to see what would fit and contact Airlift to find what would work it ended up being Jeep Liberty bags for me.
And Yes my car has a 565 Big Block in it.

Air bags have been installed but the car is still on the jacks so I don't know how they work yet.
Thanks for the advice. Does anyone have a recommendation for what pressure to set them at? I'm going to start a new thread as well.

Looks good. Do the 235's up front not rub lock to lock?

I have 225/60/15s BFG T/A's on the front of my 87 and 85 (factory rims), and they hit lock to lock....... :blam:

Thanks. Ad nope they don't rub at all lock to lock. Probably because the previous owner put coil overs up front so it sits about 2 or 3 inches higher than they should. I'll see how they fit when I change out the springs this summer.
