Doug Chahoy hit the nail on the head. The Sears catalog was world famous and made them what the were. Sears was generally a hardware store and as stated most people have a lot of their items right now. Selling dresses and toys is being done way better by other companies. If Sears would go back to mail order I think they could dominate again. In fact practically eveything I have bought from Sears over the last 5 years has been on the internet with either me picking it up at an increasingly less convenient store or more likely the mailman brought it.The Shop-Your-Way points and Free Cash incentives keep me coming back again and again.
