LQ BU

When I mocked up the engine I still had old frame pads. They were kind of flat. I bought the energy suspension inserts. They weren't flat. So the LQ didn't fit exactly the same as before. I had to modify the clamshells again. I was happy with the results though. It gave me a bit more clearance between the power steering pulley and the gear box. Which I had to modify also. I replaced the corner bolt with a pan head bolt and ground down the aluminum cover for extra clearance

My cousins Cuda has a similar story. The car came apart for paint, dude had it a year, and we got it back in half assed epoxy primer with no body work done.
My car was almost in better shape before I took it to this guy. But I don't want to get into it.

Now I am plumbing the fuel system. I welded a piece out of a I think it was a 98 grand prix gas tank. The sender ring. And installed a fuel pump from a trailblazer ss. Took a bit more work than I expected and if I had to do it again I would have done it differently.

I'm using -6 an black nylon over stainless steel braided hose for fuel lines two inline filters and black -6 an fittings. I picked up a jdm fuel pressure regulator off eBay. Looks ok but haven't put pressure on it yet. Anyone else tried one?

I like the tank mod. I may have done it different also, but then again, the route may have been the most budget friendly. Looks good for sure!

Now I have to get the wiring harness and computer straightened out. Then reassemble the body and locate some good seats. I want some nice leather ones. I have a maroon ss dash that is in good shape going in. Newer maroon carpet and new headliner. Not sure about what color seats to go with. But if I find some nice ones the rest may change color to match.

I sent my computer out and had it flashed. Picked it back up the other day. Still waiting on a few odd pieces for the fuel system. Did get my pressure Guage. I just need to find time now to work on it. Overtime at work means little time at home.

Check out some 93-02 leather trans am seats. Some times you can find them pretty cheap. GTO seats are popular, but I hate that they have 'GTO' stitched into them.
