LS Intake to hood clearance

I’ll be the 1st to say, quivelling over 30-40hp in the 500hp area is not even really noticeable on the street imho.

I was more interested in getting a jab in at Shawn (haha). Appearance wise is a different story - the 1st Gen truck intake is amazingly ugly - almost like someone at GM didn’t get the memo that it can’t look like a caveman made it.

What will fit on top of a 6L LS and under a stock GN hood.

I know a Holley Hi Ram is too tall. The intake will see some pressure too.
TBSS intake fits nice on my 85MCSS. Filled, sanded & painted to get rid of the ugliness

Good chance it will be a cast aluminum intake. Anyone try a BTR or Holley Low rise?

The engine is a cathedral port 6.0L, single turbo.

I usually like to see dimensions from a drawing but I saw a video of Holley Mid Rise vs a Trailblazer SS and on the bench they were the same height. Not much to go on but since a TBSS fits, I chose a Mid Rise and alot of hope.

Bone stock LS with TBSS intake and all truck pulley and water pump fits a stock hood 1983 cutlass with stock Chevy mounts with zero modifications

Anyone use the Edelbrock ProFlo on a Gbody with stock hood? I know they are basically the same height as a truck intake.
