Closed the hood the other day and heard a loud bang. The hinge spring popped off. Is this easy to put back on or are we looking at a hinge replacement?

I've decided to put a bypass style heater control valve in. This is instead of the straight shut off type. The reason is I can't find any instance where an LT1 engine was installed with anything other than a restriction type valve or a bypass valve. So to be safe I want to continue the coolant flow through the hoses but prevent it from circulating through the core. Here's the valve I'll use.

I tapped the water pump housing and installed threaded plugs in the 3 extra holes I didn't bother using.

The combo is running good but I still have to iron out a few bugs. I'm getting code 21 TPS voltage high. It's causing qwerky transmission shifting issues. You can see in this vid clip that the voltage on the high end exceeds the max 4.75 that begins the fault zone. An easy adjustment I'll make when I get back at it.

Here's a vid showing the tps voltage going too high

you are correct, but i put one in anyways. my thought process is the vent pipes off the back of the head will suffice as a coolant bypass. now that valve only works when in the MAX a/c position. i don't have a working a/c yet, so the jury is still out for me.

double check your grounds. especially the group ground in the harness that are common on the factory harness.

None of the A/G's I've owned had them. Never seen any in the bone yards with them either.
i stand corrected. i looked at my gbodies, none of them have it.
