I'm wondering....these are B-body parts. They could still be available in the states. That would certainly save the shipping charges.

all I did was to highlight "luggage carrier skid strip gaskets" ..right click the mouse and chose search google for luggage carrier skid strip gaskets...

Try 3m double sided foam tape,only don't peel the lower backing off.
Lowes has it here in the Phoenix area. It comes in different widths.

The fact that you mentioned 3M double sided tape made me think of the 3M trim tape. It's thinner than the double sided foam tape, and more of a rubber consistency .

Although my first choice would be getting the B-body luggage rack strips.

Steve, that's awesome! Great link, that looks like plan "A". Plan "B" would be double sided tape, I've used that before on odd things. Plan "C" would be a bicycle inner tube. Thank's guys. Man I love this site!
