Manual brakes

Has anyone pulled off the brake booster and just ran manual brakes.

Everything seems to fit with a couple holes drilled, but how did it perform?

I just need more room under my hood. I may still use the booster but...

i did it to my car and it seems to work okay, i guess it all depends on your left foot... im used to manual brakes and i personally dont feel comfy having vac brakes on a turbo car...
