Now, we're cookin' wit Crisco! Check it: in the top left, cylinder 7 runner, was a boss for a pipe plug like runner 2 in the bottom right. Bottom left cylinder 8 is just before melting the rod. I made a shield out of sheetmetal to create a floor. The first one is a little thin, as it didn't fill down to the floor. More rod this time..... The turkey fryer burner gets the intake to 450⁰ in about 45 minutes. It's a process, but I'm having fun.

If all else fails I’ll make a real nice wall hanger
 
I believe that hole at the bottom of the intake plenum is for the EGR right ? are you going to use a pipe plug or fill it with those aluminum rods ?

The Torker I have was on the 455 Bruce's cousin built about 1981-82. I doubt Edelbrock was making EGR intakes at that time, considering outside California no one was checking for emissions equipment yet and most customers were swapping intakes on pre-emissions 455 equipped cars anyway.

I'd rather hack up smog turd than a piece of vintage speed equipment. 🤓
